Dr. Gurinder Luthra is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. He has also served as the Director of Endoscopy and Medical Director, UTMB Medical-Surgical Specialty GI Clinic since June 2009. Dr. Luthra earned his DO degree, with honors, in 1991 from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine located in Fort Worth, Texas. He then did residency training and GI fellowship training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Luthra is also Board Certified in Gastroenterology.

I drive 3hours to see Dr.Luthra, he is the best doctor I've ever been too , and I will follow him and have since the 90's every where he has practice he is an excellent gastroenterologist!!!! The best , and he referred me to Dr.Gajjar and Dr.Hansen who are excellent as well with my health problems and they all work so good together to take care of me!! I love them!!!!!Aug 26,2016

Had to wait 90 minutes to see my provider. My time is valuable to. Could have sent me text to say my appt. is running late, rather than wait 90 minutes.Sep 09,2016
