Tammie Michael completed her Associates Degree in Nursing at Galveston College in Galveston, Texas in 2005 on the National Dean’s List. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Arlington and Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Upon completion of her MSN, Tammie joined UTMB as a Nephrology Nurse Clinician and later transitioned to Geriatrics as an Adult- Geriatric Nurse practitioner heading the House Call Program. She is also a specialty certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. Tammie is currently a BSN Clinical Instructor at the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing. She is also an active member of organizations such as the Galveston Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses, Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners Association, and the Texas Nurse Practitioners Political Action Committee.
