Joseph Poole graduated with his Masters of Science in Nursing, as a Family Nurse Practitioner in December of 2015, and passed boards on February 7th, 2016. He is especially proud to have attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas for both his baccalaureate and master’s degrees.
He currently lives in League City, with his 4 year old son, having grown up in Houston and living in this area his entire life. As a child he dreamed of pursuing a career in nursing and medicine, having some family members practiced as nurses and physicians. In high school, he worked at a medical device company building diagnostic equipment and medical teaching simulators. This encouraged his learning about nursing, becoming a nurse and practicing, then going on to further his knowledge as a nurse practitioner.
Joseph has worked in orthopedics, and as a float RN at a major community hospital, hospice and hospice leadership, triage and triage leadership, and as a nurse practitioner in allergy, asthma and immunology. His fundamental goal is to work a long tenure with a community to build relationships, fostering preventative and acute care appropriately across the lifespan to achieve long term quality of life and healing. Through working with other practitioners and physicians, he believes excellence can be achieved in patient care. This can be accomplished through knowledge, collaboration and dutifully listening to our patients and each other.
