Dr. Laura Wu graduated from China Medical University in Taiwan and completed a fellowship in movement disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She joined the Department of Neurology at UTMB in 2016. Her main clinical interest and subspecialty is in movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, tremors, dystonia and others. As Director of the Movement Disorder Program, she established a Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Team at UTMB which is comprised of neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuropsychologists to provide surgical treatment to our patients with Parkinson’s disease and essential tremors. She is interested in research and actively participates in clinical studies. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and testing out different cuisines.
