Dr. Julia Tripple is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, specializing in Allergy and Immunology. She received her MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and completed residency training with the Tinsley Harrison Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alabama. Following residency, Dr. Tripple returned to UTMB to complete her Fellowship in Allergy & Immunology.

Dr. Tripple cares for patients with a variety of allergic and immunologic diseases and has particular interest in nasal allergies and immunotherapy (allergy shots), asthma, drug allergies and chronic hives/angioedema. Her focus is on providing patient-centered, evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Jennifer McCracken is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, specializing in Allergy and Immunology. Dr. David Lindsay is an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics who specializes in pediatric allergy and immunology. He received his M.D. from St. George's University and completed residency training in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Following residency, he completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of South Florida (USF).

Dr. Lindsay specializes in the diagnosis and treatment in a variety of allergic conditions, including asthma, seasonal allergies, food allergy, and atopic dermatitis. In addition, Dr. Lindsay also has training in the evaluation and management of primary immunodeficiency disorders (PIDDs) and other immunologic disease.

Dr. Lindsay is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is currently board eligible for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a native of the Houston-Galveston area and is passionate about promoting quality healthcare in this region.

Dr. Cleavon Covington is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics who specializes in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. He received his Bachelors of Science in History with a minor in Biology and a Master's of Science in Biology He received his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and completed residency training in Internal medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine in Tulsa. He completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).

Dr. Covington specializes in diagnosing and managing a variety of allergic conditions including asthma, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, food allergy, urticaria, and atopic dermatitis. He also specializes in primary and secondary Immunodeficiencies and eosinophilic disorders.

Dr. Covington is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, American Board of Internal Medicine, and American Board of Pediatrics. His research interests are food allergies, anaphylaxis, immunodeficiency, and quality improvement.

Dr. Grant received his BA at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.  He then obtained his medical degree from Duke University, Durham, NC in 1966.  He trained in internal medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell, New York, NY and in allergy-immunology at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD and Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD.  Dr. Grant joined the faculty of UTMB in 1973 and rose to Professor in the departments of medicine and microbiology/immunology.  He served as Program Director for the Allergy-Immunology Fellowship for 46 years.

Dr. Grant is also active in clinical research and recently has focused on new therapies for patients with angioedema and immunodeficiency.  Frequently he receives referrals from area physicians for patients with complex problems in his specialty, especially asthma, drug-food-insect allergy, hives, edema and anaphylactic reactions. For the past twenty years, he has conducted a weekly telemedicine program for patients in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice that focuses on those with the most severe asthma.

Dr. Grant is board certified in internal medicine, allergy-immunology and diagnostic immunology, and he has been listed in Best Doctors in America since 1992 and Super Doctors® since 2005.
