Anthony W. Linfante, MD is board certified in Dermatology by The American Board of Dermatology and in Dermatopathology by The American Board of Dermatology and The American Board of Pathology. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and completed internship training in Internal Medicine at Abington Jefferson Health in Abington, PA. He went on to complete residency training in Dermatology and fellowship training in Dermatopathology at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. Linfante is an Assistant Professor in both the Departments of Dermatology and Dermatopathology at The University of Texas Medical Branch. He has particular interest in complex medical dermatology including lupus, cutaneous autoimmune diseases, and drug reactions, early detection of skin cancer via noninvasive means, and cosmetic dermatology such as lasers, Botox®, dermal fillers, and chemical peels. He cares for his patients requesting general dermatology visits in Galveston and League City, as well as for cosmetic concerns at the Aesthetic Center in League City.

Dr. Brandon Goodwin is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who focuses on general adult and pediatric dermatology, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer prevention and treatment, complex medical dermatology, alopecia, and dermatopathology. As a dual-boarded dermatologist and dermatopathologist, Dr. Goodwin incorporates his microscopic knowledge of the skin while seeing patients in the clinic every day. He enjoys applying clinical-pathological correlation to strive for accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.

While Dr. Goodwin wasn't born in Texas, he got here as fast as he could! He received his medical degree in 2011 from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in his hometown of Mobile, AL. Following medical school, he completed his preliminary internship year in internal medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and subsequently moved to Galveston, TX. He completed both his dermatology residency in 2015 and his dermatopathology fellowship in 2016 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. Goodwin found Galveston's "island life" and UTMB to be a great fit. Following his training completion, Dr. Goodwin has served as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Dermatology and Dermatopathology and also as the Medical Director of the UTMB Health Galveston Dermatology clinics. Outside of his clinical and patient responsibilities, Dr. Goodwin finds teaching the residents, fellows, and medical students as one of the most rewarding aspects of his career at UTMB.

Dr. Bernard Gibson is dermatologist who focuses on general and pediatric dermatology. He received his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco and his residency at the Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Gibson was appointed the Interim-Chair for the Dermatology department in July of 2016.

Dr. Ayezel Munoz Gonzalez earned her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Luis Razetti School of Medicine in Caracas, Venezuela, where she was born and raised. She is a board-certified pediatrician, having completed a pediatrics residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital/Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, TX, in June 2020. She completed her dermatology residency at UTMB in June 2023. Before coming to the US in 2015, she also completed residency training in pediatrics and dermatology at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Her areas of interest are general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, and aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology.

Stephanie Kemmerling, FNP-C is a nationally board certified and Texas state licensed nurse practitioner who focuses on adult and pediatric dermatology. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where she graduated with honors. Stephanie has specialized dermatology training and has worked in the field of dermatology since 2012. She is the Past Chair of the Nurse Practitioner Society of the national Dermatology Nurses' Association and has held leadership positions in local and regional nurse practitioner organizations. Prior to joining the dermatology department at UTMB, Stephanie worked in dermatology in a private practice in Austin, Texas and as a clinical instructor for nurse practitioner students. She practices dermatology in close collaboration with the faculty at UTMB. Stephanie enjoys working with patients of all ages and treats a variety of dermatologic issues. She individualizes treatment plans to best fit each person's lifestyle and skin condition.

Leah Smith, PA-C is a nationally board certified and Texas state licensed physician assistant who focuses in adult and pediatric dermatology. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch Physician Assistant school with honors. She practices in close collaboration with the faculty at UTMB and enjoys working with patients of all ages.

Dr. Michael Wilkerson serves as Professor and Chairman of the UTMB Health Department of Dermatology and is holder of the John Sealy Distinguished Chair in Dermatology. His focus is on general and pediatric dermatology including psoriasis, eczema, contact allergy, and pemphigus. He also cares for patients with sun damage and skin cancers. He graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his residency at the Medical College of Virginia. He is past president of the Texas Dermatological Society. Dr. Wilkerson also holds a graduate certificate in Medical and Healthcare Management from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Management.

Dr. Lindy Ross is a board certified dermatologist. She received her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch and subsequently completed a transitional year internship at Houston Methodist Hospital. She returned to University of Texas Medical Branch to complete her dermatology residency training. She has clinical interest in general and pediatric dermatology.

Dr. Frank T. Winsett is dermatologist who focuses on general adult and pediatric dermatology with a particular interest in dermatologic surgery. Dr. Winsett both his medical degree and internal medicine internship from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston. His current research interests are in dermatologic surgery and cutaneous mycology. Dr. Winsett is a member of numerous scientific organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the Texas Dermatology Society.

Dr. Janice Wilson is a board certified dermatologist (general and pediatric) and dermatopathologist. She received her medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston and subsequently completed a transitional year internship at Houston Methodist Hospital. She then completed residency in dermatology followed by fellowship in dermatopathology, both at the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston. She has academic and clinical interests in benign and malignant melanocytic tumors (melanocytic nevi (moles) and melanoma) and in dermoscopy.
