Aisha graduated from the University of Cincinnati and obtained her advanced midwifery training. She additionally received certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board. She started her professional career in Nigeria, with an associate degree in Nursing in 1996 and a Midwifery Certificate in 1999. She then obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing in 2013 from the University of Texas-Arlington.
