Emily was born in Franklin, Massachusetts, where she lived until moving to Texas in middle school. Her family relocated to the greater Houston area where she attended Clear Lake High School.

Emily attended the University of Texas at Austin after beginning her education at San Jacinto Community College. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Fall 2014. Following graduation, she accepted a full-time RN position at Memorial Hermann Hospital TMC on the Labor & Delivery unit. During her tenure, she worked multiple positions within Women’s Services, including Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, OR, and Obstetric Emergency Department. It was during this time she returned to school at University of Texas at Arlington to pursue her Master degree. In August 2020, she graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing and obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner license.

In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and participating in activities such as running half-marathons, live music, and riding motorcycles with friends. At the end of the day, she appreciates coming home to her family and pets.

Nydia has approximately one decade of experience in caring for women infants and children. Nydia began filling the need as a float provider for RWSP in June of 2023 and is now a core OB/GYN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse caring for patients at our Texas City location.

Ms. Nancy Hernandez, a Texas native, attended The University of Texas Medical Branch where she graduated with honors as Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. Nancy has more than a decade of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is currently practicing in her hometown of Texas City.

Nancy is dedicated to the underserved population, both locally and abroad. Nancy has volunteered on several mission trips to Peru and the Dominican Republic.

In her free time, Nancy enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Louie and Zeus, and traveling the world.

Tomeka Washington has over 15 years of nursing experience caring for women in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. For the past 4 years she has been practicing at the UTMB-Regional Maternal and Child Health Program clinic in Pearland as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.

Tomeka is passionate about women's Health and is a strong advocate for her patients and women's empowerment. She believes that good health is essential and that the biggest threats to women's health are often preventable and keeping women informed and educated is the key to a longer healthier life.

Tomeka was born on the island at UTMB (BOI). She attended Dickinson independent School district and graduated in 1999. After obtaining her associate degree in nursing in 2005 Tomeka began her nursing career as a Labor and delivery nurse at UTMB in Galveston. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2013, and her Master's Degree in Women's Health from the University of Cincinnati in 2016.

She is currently a member of The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), Minority Nurses association, and National Black Nurse Practitioner Association (NBNPA). Tomeka is married with 3 children and outside of her professional and educational obligations she loves spending time with her family and serving at her local church.

Cynthia Dunahoe is a graduate of UT Southwestern. She has advanced training and is a Board certified Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner. Her clinical interests include Ob/Gyn.

Brenda Pickhardt, CNM is a Maternal Child Health Specialist, Certified Nurse Midwife, with UTMB Regional Maternal & Child Health Program since 2011. Ms. Pickhardt is a nationally certified by American Midwifery Certification Board. Brenda received both her Bachelor in Science in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing focusing on Nurse Midwifery at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Ms. Pickhardt is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.

Along with caring for patients not only in the clinic setting but also in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum, Ms. Pickhardt is a Regional Director for the Regional Maternal & Child Health Program. Ms. Pickhardt continues to be an advocate for all women.

Elana Lloyd is a graduate of University of Cincinnati. Her clinical interests include Women's Health, Obstetrics, Gynecology .

She and her husband with their two children reside in Pearland. In her free time, she likes to cook, garden, and hang out with her husband, children, and two dogs.

Dr. Crystal Alvarez is an Assistant Professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She is committed to addressing all aspects of women's health with special interests in family planning, menstrual disorders, high-risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Alvarez graduated Cum Laude from Baylor University in 2006 with her Bachelor's degree in Biology. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2011 and did her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Medical Branch where she received multiple resident teaching awards and served as Administrative Chief Resident her final year.

Dr. Alvarez is married and has one young daughter. She is currently practicing at the Clear Lake location and is taking new patients.

Dr. Carpio-Solis was born and raised in New York. Her parents immigrated to the US as children from Puerto Rico and Peru. She was raised bilingual. After completing college and medical school in New York she attended residency in Baltimore Maryland. She has been a practicing OB/GYN since 2005 and is board certified. In 2007 she moved to Texas and has been in love with the state ever since. She is married and has 3 lovely children, Ryan, Sophya and Benji. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, movies, reading books and is a gym enthusiast.
