  • Dr. Eric Gou is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

    Dr. Gou earned his B.A. degree in Biology and Psychology in 2007 from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and his M.D. degree in 2011 from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at UTMB where he received the Thayer Award for Excellence in Teaching as well as Outstanding Third Year Resident. He subsequently completed his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology & Hepatology and was honored with the Fellow of the Year Award.

    He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
