Dr. Saunders received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. In 2011, she completed her residency training at UTMB. After finishing residency, she started as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UTMB in the Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic and Pediatric Neonatology Division. Dr. Saunders also participates in medical education as a preceptor for Practice of Medicine course which helps medical students learn basic clinical and physical examination skills, the fundamentals of evidence-based medicine, and also explores the ethical principles of medicine.
