  • Dr. Yngve is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis at UTMB. He earned his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic residency at Indiana University, and a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Louisiana State University. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.

    Dr. Yngve, who came to UTMB in 1992, has been in practice for more than 20 years and says his goal is to treat his patients in a careful, caring and understanding manner. This includes remaining up-to-date in his field, which has resulted in his publication of more than 25 peer reviewed papers.

    Dr. Yngve has a special interest in cerebral palsy, scoliosis and pediatric spine problems. He is doing a new type of minimally invasive cerebral palsy surgery called Selective Percutaneous Myofascial Lengthening (SPML) otherwise known as percutaneous surgery, or PERCS. He welcomes patients from 0-18 years with orthopaedic problems, including those of the back, hip, leg, ankle, foot, knee, arm, elbow, wrist, and hand.

  • Dr. Alijanipour specializes in Spine Surgery. He has extensive subspecialty training in the surgical treatment of adult and pediatric spine conditions. His clinical interest encompasses a wide spectrum of spinal diseases such as degenerative disorders of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis, as well as spinal trauma, infection and tumors.

    After earning his Medical Degree from University of Tehran Iran, Dr. Alijanipour completed a 5-year residency program in Orthopedic Surgery at Hospital Costa del Sol in Marbella, Spain. He received board certification from the Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in 2013. Subsequently, Dr. Alijanipour worked as a senior research fellow at Rothman Institute, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia for 2 years where he designed, conducted and published multiple clinical and basic science research projects. He also received several awards and scholarships for his scientific contribution. Eventually, Dr. Alijanipour completed three consecutive years of accredited clinical fellowship training in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery (Weill Cornell University, New York), Children’s Hospital of New Orleans (Louisiana State University, New Orleans) and Jackson Memorial Hospital (University of Miami).

    Before joining the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Medical Branch as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Alijanipour worked as a Clinical Instructor of Orthopedic Spine Surgery at University of Miami and as an Adult and Pediatric Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at Methodist Hospitals in Merrillville, Indiana. Dr. Alijanipour has had several national and international presentations. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.

    Dr. Alijanipour has practiced Orthopedic Surgery in 3 different countries and fluently speaks English, Spanish and Persian. His primary goal is to provide outstanding evidence-based patient care using the most innovative techniques and technologies via both minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. He also aims to educate and inspire the next generation of Orthopedic surgeons and to perform cutting-edge research in Spine Surgery.

    Dr. Alijanipour enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons as well as reading, swimming, tennis and travelling. He looks forward to contributing to the happiness of his patients and the community.

  • Dr. Glover is a native of northeast Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Texas in Austin, TX. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He completed his internship at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and his residency training at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Following his fellowship training at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI, he later pursued an additional Master of Business Administration degree at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

    He served on Active Duty in the United States Air Force for over 12 years and then transitioned into private practice to Jackson, TN and then moved to Flagstaff, AZ to join Northern Arizona Orthopaedics. During his 16 years in Arizona, he assumed many leadership roles at Flagstaff Medical Center to include Chairman of the Department of Surgery and also of the Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurosurgery Division. He served on many hospital committees to include pharmacy and therapeutics, credentialing and medical executive. He had the honor and privilege of serving as the medical staff president for 2016. Prior to joining UTMB in 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, he also had the unique experience of working on the insurance side of healthcare as a medical director which provided valuable insights into this aspect of care delivery.

    He has been a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon since 1996 and is licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Tennessee and Texas. He has been a Fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Member of the North American Spine Society since 1998. He is also a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership. His areas of clinical interest include spinal degenerative diseases and deformity as well as spinal trauma and infection. He has clinical expertise in adult spinal reconstructive surgery using various open and minimally invasive techniques as well as total disc arthroplasty.

Shibi completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from India in 2000 and served in the Indian army for five years. She has been working with UTMB since 2009. She was Nurse Clinician V and a clinical instructor when she stepped out of the ICU to work as a Nurse Practitioner in the orthopedic clinic.

    She treats patients of all ages for musculoskeletal issues and helped thousands of patients to find meaningful relief from chronic pain and return to their active lifestyles. She is very passionate about Bone Health and serves as a Fracture Liaison practitioner in UTMB to prevent and reduce fragility fractures in our society. She aims to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. She develops unique relationships with her patients with an emphasis on counseling, wellness, and prevention.

  • Dr. Ronald W. Lindsey is Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Medical in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Lindsey is a highly acclaimed orthopedic surgeon-scientist with subspecialty training and expertise in musculoskeletal spine and trauma conditions. He completed his undergraduate education at Yale University and received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After his orthopedic surgery residency, also at Yale University, he completed Fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma/Internal Fixation, Spine Surgery, and Upper Extremity Reconstructive Surgery.
