Dr. Renuka Mopuru specializes in Comprehensive Eyecare, Medical Retinal Diseases and Uveitis with the UTMB Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. She also treats conditions such as  macular degeneration, diabetic eye care, retinal vascular occlusions, infectious uveitis, auto-immune uveitis, scleritis, pediatric juvenile idiopathic arthritis(JIA) associated chronic uveitis, immunotherapy associated uveitis.

Dr. Mopuru graduated from the Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center in Bangalore, India. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Sri Venkateswara Medical College in Tirupathi India. Before joining UTMB, Dr Mopuru completed her fellowship training in Medical Retina at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, and Uveitis & Ocular Immunology fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University.

During her free time, Dr. Mopuru enjoys painting, tennis, and spending time with her two young children.
