Jessica Miller grew up as a Coast Guard daughter and moved around a lot as a child. When her father retired while she was in high school, she set her roots in the community. Jessica attended Texas A&M University and obtained a bachelor's degree in biology in 2006, then attended nursing school at UTMB, graduating in 2009. Jessica first worked as a nurse in the hospital setting for two years and obtained her master's degree, graduating with honors in 2012.

Jessica works in urgent care and family practice as a Nurse Practitioner, as well as working in the ER for more experience. She enjoys providing care in the family practice setting and getting to know her patients and being able to see their continuity of care. Jessica has three children and enjoys spending time with her family when not working. As a child, Jessica did a lot of competitive horseback riding and continues to have a love for horses. She also enjoys exercising and spending time in the sun.

My name is Nyajuok Wur. I am originally from South Sudan, born in Ethiopia, raised in Minnesota and currently living in Houston, TX. My passion for medicine began at a young age and my desire to help others continues. I chose family medicine because of the variety as well as the opportunity to work with people from all ages and backgrounds.

Hobbies outside of medicine include reading mystery books, international travel, and singing.

Brittany Menefee was born in the great state of Texas and was raised in Galveston County. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas State University in 2012. Brittany started her nursing career as an Emergency Room RN in Round Rock, Texas. She then moved back to the Houston area, to be closer to family, and began working as an Emergency Room nurse at Ben Taub Hospital. Brittany continued working at Ben Taub throughout her Master's degree program. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in December 2017. Brittany is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Brittany enjoys spending time with her family and her rescue dogs.

Dr. Ben-Okoli's special interests include prevention, health maintenance, integrative medicine, counseling and adult medicine. He is dedicated to patient empowerment and patient education which are essential to helping patients achieve their medical, mental and social health goals. He is looking forward to developing lifelong relationships with his patients and their families.

Dr. Ogamdi believes that patient education through an open way of communication will lead to a vital, long-lasting relationship with her patients. Dr. Ogamdi promotes patient empowerment and security in the understanding of their health, health maintenance and disease prevention, and integrative approaches to patient care. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, learning new languages, traveling, and making bold new recipes.

Clinical Areas of interest in pediatric medicine, adult medicine, geriatric medicine, prevention medicine, health maintenance and special interest in women’s health. I aim to provide personal, comprehensive, and continuing care for the entire family.

I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, reading, traveling and Pilates class.

Dr. Corzo was born and raised in Barquisimeto- Venezuela. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from University Centro-occidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) in Venezuela and completed a residency with the UTMB Health Family Medicine Residency in September 2017. During her training, she was exposed to broad clinical pathologies with the opportunity to learn and to have "full hands-on" training. Dr. Corzo found that her best teachers were and still are her patients from whom she learns from every single day. During her free time she enjoys going out and spending time with her family. Dr. Corzo is certified by The American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Benjamin found his passion for healthcare while serving in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Shortly after moving back to Texas, he attended The University of Texas Medical Branch to obtain his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Benjamin went on to earn his Master’s of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas Medical Branch as well.

Benjamin is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society. Benjamin also enjoys spending time as a Clinical Instructor for the School of Nursing at UTMB Galveston, where he is able to share his knowledge and experiences as a healthcare professional with future nurses.

Benjamin enjoys fishing, running, spending time with his wife and two rescue dogs, and staying active in church. He focuses on a holistic approach to patient care with an emphasis on disease prevention.

Katie Cotta is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been in the medical field for 12 years. She was born and raised in Texas where she obtained her degree in nursing. Katie began her career in 2010 as an RN where she first worked on Tele units for 2 years. Then in 2012 she continued her educated and obtained her bachelors in nursing. From 2012 to 2018, she worked as an RN for UTMB in Galveston. While working, in 2016 she obtained her Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner through UTMB. Since starting her career as an FNP she has had 2 years in GI and 1 year in Family Practice where she was seeing women, children, and adult patients. Katie is passionate about helping others and making a difference.
