Dr. Satish Agadi received his medical degree from All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi, India, in 2000. He completed residencies in Pediatrics at the State University of New York (SUNY Buffalo) in Buffalo, New York, in 2006 and in Pediatric Neurology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in 2009. Dr. Agadi also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Baylor College of Medicine in 2010.

Dr. Agadi specializes in General pediatric neurology, epilepsy, neonatal seizures, neuromuscular disorders, neurophysiology, and other brain disorders in children. His research areas of interest include pediatric neurology, pediatric epilepsy, status epilepticus, epilepsy genetics, and precision medicine.

Dr. Agadi is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Epilepsy, Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology, and in Clinical Neurophysiology. He is also a member of several scientific societies and professional organizations such as the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Neurocritical Care Society, the American Epilepsy Society (AES), and others.

Lycia Aguiar has been a Registered Nurse for over 22 years and has vast experience from Telemetry to ICU as well as IV sedation anesthesia.

She graduated with her master’s from Chamberlain University, Illinois, in Family Practice Medicine and has worked in Internal Medicine/Primary care as well as Urgent Care.

She now specializes in Neurology caring for patients with various Neurological conditions such as Migraines, Neuropathy, Seizures to Essential Tremors, Parkinson’s disease and Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease.

She provides Botox for Migraine patients, Trigger point injections for Cephalgia’s and assist Seizure patients with their VNS settings. She loves to educate and teach patients to avoid headaches.

In her free time she loves to travel around the world with her family.

Dr. Arun Singh Chhabra graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia and then went on to obtain his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, where he served as the president of his medical school class. He completed his neurology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he won the resident teaching award and also presented his research in Psychiatric Manifestations of Post-Concussive Syndrome. Subsequently, he trained at The University of California-Los Angeles for his stroke fellowship, one of the top stroke programs in the country.

Before joining UTMB, Dr. Chhabra served as the Stroke Medical Director of Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA and was responsible for the advancement of stroke care both in the region as well as the state.

Dr. Chhabra is fellowship trained in stroke and cerebrovascular diseases and also has an interest in concussion and multiple sclerosis. He spends half his time at UTMB - Clear Lake Campus where he serves as the Chief of Neurology and the other half of his time at UTMB - Galveston Campus. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball and traveling with his wife and family.

Dr. Alok Dabi, was born and raised in India, where he completed his medical school. He was selected to the India's premier medical institute, All India Institute of Medical Sciences and completed his residency in Internal Medicine. After that, he had a short stay in the United Kingdom where he practiced General Medicine, before reaching the United States.

After completing the Neurology residency, subspecializing in the field of Neurocritical Care, he joined the University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston, Texas as an Assistant Professor to form a part of the vibrant and young faculty in the Department of Neurology. Since his recruitment to help with the establishment and growth of the nascent Neurocritical Care Unit, the program has seen consistent development under the able guidance of Dr. Anish Bhardwaj, the Head and the Chair of the department and one of the nation's leading Neurocritical Care specialist.

Dr. Dabi is actively involved with teaching activities involving the Neurocritical Care Unit (NCCU) staff and an active member of various institutional committees, including the Organ Donation Committee, Anticoagulation Committee and Multidisciplinary Critical Care Committee. He has been an invited speaker on different critical care topics including Targeted Temperature Management, Aphasia and Language disorders etc. Dr. Dabi and his family enjoy staying in Texas and are happy to be a part of the development of the Greater Houston area, and are keen to make their contribution in its growth.

Dr. Fang's areas of interest are general neurology, neuromuscular disease and movement disorder.

Dr. Fang earned an MD and also a PhD from Hunan Medical University, Changsha, China in 1993. He completed an internship in Medicine at Harbor Hospital Center, Baltimore, MD and a residency in Neurology at UTMB.

Dr. Hafeez is dual board certified in neurology and neurocritical care from American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he brings his expertise in neurocritical care, critical care EEG, and drug refractory epilepsy.

He completed his neurology residency and neurocritical care fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine followed by epilepsy fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center.

Dr. Khan completed his medical school training at Mymensingh Medical College, Bangladesh (1975-1981), and attended a master’s in public health from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA in 1992. He subsequently completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Queens Hospital Center, New York (1995-1996), and Neurology residency training from Kansas University Medical Center, KS (1996-1999). He was chief resident of the Neurology Program at KU.

Dr. Khan is a dedicated health care professional of over 20 years, whose accomplishments reflect strong leadership skills, a demonstrated commitment to community outreach, and passion for medical practice. He is well versed in his field, with excellent time management and organization skills, and has the ability to multi-task under concurrent deadlines, all talents he employs to better serve his patients.

He has practiced neurology at Texoma Neurology Associates (1999-2002), served as the head of the Department of Neurology at Ochsner Medical Center, Baton Rouge, LA (2002-2019), and served as a neurologist in the multispecialty group at UTMB Health’s Clear Lake Campus (2019-present).

He was the founder of Bangladesh Medical Association of North America (BMANA_LA), Louisiana in 2011 and led the organization as its president until 2019. He has traveled to Bangladesh as a visiting professor to lecture at the post-graduate level at the Institute of Bangladesh.

Howard LaRoche, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology. Prior to joining UTMB in 2018, he was in private practice in Lake Jackson, Texas from 1995-2018. Dr. LaRoche obtained his BS, cum laude from the University of Houston; he received his MD from University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

Dr. LaRoche specializes in Adult Neurology with interest in cognitive disorders; and had been board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
