Rosana Draper, PhD, MSN, FNP-BC is a graduate of University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston, where she obtained her MSN as well as her PhD. Rosana specializes as an experienced board certified nurse practitioner. Her clinical interests include family medicine, healthy lifestyles and diabetes care.

Dr. Justin Serrette joined UTMB Pediatric Associates in 2014.  Dr. Serrette sees patients at both the Texas City Pediatric Clinic and the Victory Lakes Urgent Care Clinic where he serves as the Medical Director.

Born and raised in South Louisiana, Dr. Serrette attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge prior to completing medical school at UTMB in 2009.  He remained at UTMB in Galveston for his pediatric internship and residency.  Dr. Serrette is board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Serrette enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughters.  You can also find him running along the seawall in Galveston most days.

Dr. Stacy Leung is an outstanding physician holding dual board certifications in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. She successfully completed her residency in Family Medicine at UTMB and pursued a specialized Sports Medicine fellowship at UTHealth in Houston, as well as an MBA with an emphasis in healthcare. Dr. Leung's clinical expertise spans primary care, musculoskeletal health, sports medicine, and international healthcare.

A native of the Clear Lake area, Dr. Leung feels privileged to contribute to the well-being of the community where she was raised. She approaches her patients with a compassionate and respectful bedside manner, investing time to understand her patients' concerns, and ensuring active patient involvement in the treatment plan. Beyond her medical practice, she actively engages in her local church, assuming various leadership roles and serving as the medical missions coordinator. Her commitment to global health is evident through her participation in mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Brazil, Uganda, and Kenya.

Laura Ellender, MSN, RN, CEN, FNP-C is a graduate of University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston, where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing. Laura specializes as an experienced board certified family nurse practitioner as well as a certified emergency nurse. Her clinical interests include all aspects of family medicine.

Dr. Natalie Royer is an Assistant Professor in the division of Pediatric Urgent Care at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas Lutheran University. She obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at The University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Royer joined the University of Texas Medical Branch as faculty in 2018 and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Truong Nguyen is an Assistant Professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and specializes in Gynecologic Ultrasound, Gynecology, Obstetrics and Women's Health Care.    Dr. Truong received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in 2003.   Dr. Truong is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Ikram joined UTMB Health's Department of Family Medicine in 2023. He currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor and will serve as faculty on the Family Medicine Inpatient Service as well as see patients at all three of our Family Medicine Clinics - Dickinson, Island East and Island West.

Dr. Ikram earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center Medical School in Fort Worth, Texas. and completed his family medicine residency training at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Dr. Caryl Guillermo received her medical degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay in the Philippines. She completed her residency in Family Practice at the Wichita Falls Family Practice Residency Program, an affiliate of UT-Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Guillermo is following in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Benjamin Guillermo, who has been a practicing physician in the Clear Lake-area for over 15 years. Dr. Guillermo is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and American Medical Association. Dr. Guillermo's practice philosophy is to help her patients by listening and caring for them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She believes in empowering her patients through active participation in their treatment plan and overall health. She loves taking care of entire families and has a special interest in women's health and well-being.

When Dr. Guillermo is not at work taking care of her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Guillermo is a member of Bay Harbour United Methodist Church in League City. Her hobbies include reading, shopping, bowling, and tennis.

Dr. Edemekong is proud to serve in a broad scope of Family and Preventive Medicine. He has been practicing in the urgent care, preventive and family medicine settings and enjoys being able to provide holistic care to his patients.

He has numerous publications and has provided multiple presentations in his career at both a macro level with the CDC and micro level with small workshops and lectures. Dr. Edemekong has a passion for being involved in community education and has dedicated himself to medical missions on an annual basis. Dr. Edemekong offers an ability to serve his patients with a truly integrative approach.

Dr. Edemekong offers Primary Health Care, HIV Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Occupational Medicine. With a background in Family Medicine and completed training in Preventive Medicine, Dr. Edemekong has experience working with at-risk patient populations. His passion continues in areas of Clinical Preventive Medicine, Global Healthcare, Acute Disease Epidemiology (HIV, TB, Hepatitis, STIs) and Health Disparities as well as Maternal-Fetal Healthcare.

He offers basic and routine health care needs with a sensitive and unbiased approach for preventive care, physical exams, and Infectious disease treatment. He promotes the highest level of health for all people by striving to eliminate preventable diseases and educating my patients regarding healthy behaviors across all life stages.

Dr. Varghese is a physician at the Victory Lakes Town Center Clinic in League City. Dr. Varghese completed his medical residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler, Texas, where he served as Chief Resident. While clinically trained in a broad scope of medicine, his expertise includes adult and children's health, minor procedures, and preventative care.

As a physician, my patient care practices are centered around three core beliefs. First, I believe that patient autonomy should be respected. Both patient's beliefs and evidence-based medicine should be incorporated into workup and treatment plans as every patient is different. Secondly, I believe that teamwork is essential to provide the best possible care. I aim to use the knowledge and expertise of other health professionals to do so. Lastly, I believe in the importance of preventative care, which we achieve through education, screening, and counseling.

Ultimately, Dr. Varghese's goal is to address the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of health. Dr. Varghese wants to partner with his patients to empower them to restore their wellness.
