  • Dr. Patricia Ann Rogers is a Professor of Pediatrics at UTMB. She joined UTMB Department of Pediatrics in 2004 and has been faculty at UTMB since 1998. Dr. Rogers is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She received her doctorate from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences (School of Medicine) in Memphis, TN. Dr.Rogers completed her pediatric residency at UTMB in Galveston, TX.

    Dr. Rogers has a special interest in teaching medical students and residents. She has received numerous teaching awards including two awards for Excellence in Clinical teaching by the John P. McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine.  In addition to holding the tittle of Distinguished Teaching Professor, member of the University of Texas Academy of Health and Science education, Dr. Rogers serves as the director of the School Health Program at UTMB.

  • Dr. A. Scott Rogers graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 1978. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Rogers has been in private practice in the Angleton community since 1985 before joining UTMB in 2015. He has been involved in both civic and business organizations serving as medical director, a local business leader and volunteer.

    A resident of Angleton for 35 years, Dr. Rogers is married and has two sons. He looks forward to continue serving his existing and new patients in his new location.

  • Dr Lorena Salcedo was born in Bogota, Colombia. She completed part of her education in Montreal, Canada before moving to Dallas, Texas. She completed her undergraduate education with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas in Mathematics. Dr Salcedo obtained her MD from the UTMB School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas.

    Dr Salcedo has a passion for International Medicine and Global Health. She has participated in Medical Missions in Kenya, Vietnam, Costa Rica and Guatemala. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French and enjoys serving a multicultural population. Her clinical interests include minor procedures, Women's Health, and preventive medicine.

  • Dr. Lindsay Sonstein is the Program Director for the IM residency program, Vice Chair of Graduate Medical Education and the Clinical Vice Chair for the department of Internal Medicine. She joined the faculty in 2008, after completing her medical school, residency and chief residency at UTMB in Galveston.

    She has a passion for quality and gained training in the field of health care quality by attending MD Anderson cancer center clinical safety, effectiveness course and AAMC teach for quality program. She has presented her quality work locally and regionally and has won awards for her work at the UT System Building Bridges conference as well as received funding from the UT system for development of a Train the Trainer Education model for QI.

  • Christi Lynn Wargo, CPNP-PC, is a board certified and Texas state licensed pediatric nurse practitioner. She provides care for pediatric patients in the department of Dermatology and General Academic Pediatrics at the Bay Colony and Galveston clinics. Christi graduated with her Associates in Nursing in 2001 from College of the Mainland and from there went on to the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she received her Bachelor's in Nursing in 2003 and then her Master's in Nursing for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2008. She is currently enrolled once again in UTMB's School of Nursing for her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with plans to graduate in the Spring of 2022.

    Prior to joining the dermatology department in October of 2016, Christi worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner for the Texas Children's Mobile Clinic, the FQHC Bell's Hill Community clinic in Waco, and she started the school-based Kruse clinic at Memorial Hermann Health Centers for Schools in Pasadena. In 2017, Christi started in the department of General Academic Pediatrics Bay Colony location on Wednesdays seeing primary care patients. She also occasionally provides care at the UTMB Pediatric After-Hours Urgent care clinic in League City. Christi has a great love of community and spends much of her free time volunteering both in Texas as well as abroad.

    She is also currently serving on the board of the Houston Area Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners as the Community Co-Chair and is Secretary for the Global Health Special Interest Group and member of the Pediatric Dermatology Special Interest Group.
