  • Dr. Sun graduated from University of Science, Arts and Technology in British West Indies, and Shandong Medical University in China. She completed a fellowship in epilepsy at UT Health Science in Houston, one of the nation’s top epilepsy programs. She specializes in adult neurology and epilepsy to provide cutting edge medical treatment for the full spectrum of neurological disorders, including seizure, epilepsy, headache, stroke, neurodegenerative disease, neuromuscular disease and movement disorder.   • Dr. Laura Wu graduated from China Medical University in Taiwan and completed a fellowship in movement disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She joined the Department of Neurology at UTMB in 2016. Her main clinical interest and subspecialty is in movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, tremors, dystonia and others. As Director of the Movement Disorder Program, she established a Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Team at UTMB which is comprised of neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuropsychologists to provide surgical treatment to our patients with Parkinson’s disease and essential tremors. She is interested in research and actively participates in clinical studies. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and testing out different cuisines.

  • Dr. Robert McKendall is Associate Professor of Neurology at UTMB. He attended Columbia College in New York City where he received his AB degree, Tufts Medical School in Boston, MA where he received his MD, followed by an internship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Neurology Residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago, USPHS Traineeship in Virology, University of Illinois, College of Medicine, Neurovirology Fellowship, University of California, San Francisco and Neuroimmunology and Neuropathology Fellowship, University of California, San Francisco.
