Dr. Nicanord joined The UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine in 2017. Dr. Nicanord earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, and a Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. Dr. Nicanord graduated from the UTMB Family Medicine Residency Program and continued his training by earning a fellowship in Geriatrics, also at UTMB.

Dr. Syed K. Kazmi joined UTMB Pediatric Community Based Clinics in 1994. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He received his doctorate from Universidad Technologica de Santiago Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and his masters of public health from Tulane School of Public Health in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Kazmi has a special interest in community health education and the uses of homeopathic medicines, earning a diploma in Homeopathy from Galein College, United Kingdom.

In addition to serving as the Medical Director of UTMB Health Pediatrics in Alvin, Dr. Kazmi is the Medical Director of a Houston based charity clinic. He is an active member of the community, working with the Alvin Independent School District as a consultant and as the Alvin City Health Officer.

Dr. Kazmi sees general pediatric patients and is multi-lingual in English, Spanish, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Dr. Crystal Sierra joined UTMB Health in November 2010.  After completing her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas - Pan American in Edinburg, Texas, Dr. Sierra earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2006. In 2009, she completed her Residency in Pediatrics at UTMB. Prior to working for UTMB, Dr. Sierra worked as a pediatrician in Clear Lake.

Dr. Sierra is board certified by The American Board of Pediatrics. She is also certified in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She has her Texas medical license, and is a member of The American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Sierra is married to Dr. James T. Sierra, a dentist in Friendswood, and they have two beautiful daughters, Gabriella and Francesca.  Dr. Sierra is fluent in Spanish and also enjoys reading and traveling with her family in her spare time.  She has enjoyed living in the area, and is excited to be giving back to the community!

Dr. Amber Hairfield joined UTMB Pediatrics as faculty in 2011. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Hairfield received her doctorate from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She also completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.

Dr. Hairfield has a special interest in medical education and is currently serving as the Pediatric Residency Program Director at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston.

In addition to serving in various medical education committees, Dr. Hairfield also serves in a few UTMB Quality Improvement committees for academic pediatric clinics

Dr. Lauren Raimer-Goodman was born on Galveston Island and grew up as part of the UTMB family. She officially joined UTMB Health in October 2011. After completing her undergraduate work at Wake Forest University, she attended Baylor College of Medicine where she received her medical degree in 2008. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Texas Children's Hospital in 2011.

Dr. Raimer-Goodman is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Texas Medical Association. She has a special interest in pediatric advocacy and global health. Her husband, Dr. Michael Goodman, is a researcher in public health with a focus on social epidemiology and global health. They have two delightful children whom they adore.

Clinically, Dr. Raimer-Goodman has many interests including infants, breastfeeding, asthma, allergies, acne, eczema and other skin disorders, sports related injuries, healthy eating and much more.

Roxanna Sanchez began her nursing career with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) graduating in 2008. Upon graduation, Roxanna went to work at the Texas Medical Center as an operating room and perioperative nurse working with children and adults. Roxanna's dedication towards her patients and passion for aiding in the healthcare of others lead her to pursue her Master's degree of Nursing. She wanted to be more closely involved in her patients' care and began her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and graduated from UTMB in 2012. She currently helps prepare future nurse practitioner students by being their mentor during clinical rotations.

Roxanna is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, is bilingual and also a member of the International Nursing Honors Society, Sigma Theta Tau. She is a member of the Galveston Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses.

Amy Haverty received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1994. She spent five years as an RN on active duty with the Army. While in the Army, Amy worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Pediatrics Unit, and the Combat Support Hospital. In 1999, Amy joined UTMB Pediatric Associates in Galveston, working as Nursing Manager. She joined UTMB Pediatric Associates Alvin in 2007, after earning her Master's of Science in Nursing from UTMB, specializing in pediatrics. Amy currently cares for patients at the Friendswood Pediatric and Adult Care Clinic.

Amy is board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Her special interests include child nutrition and immunizations. Amy volunteers with local scouting organizations, providing medical services and training.

Dr. Ralph W. Noble III has been a general pediatrician since 1978. He attended medical school and completed his specialty training in pediatrics at UTMB. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has taught UTMB medical students and pediatric residents throughout his career.

Dr. Noble enjoys practicing general pediatrics. He has an interest in mind/body medicine, including breathing techniques, meditation, and exercises.

In the past, Dr. Noble has served as a clinic medical director, public school medical consultant, teaching a sex education course at one of Galveston's private schools, medical director of the Advocacy Center for Children of Galveston County, a member of the board of various Galveston community agencies. For several years he was an assistant scoutmaster of a Galveston Boy Scout troop.

Dr. Silva serves as the Clerkship Director and Co-director of the Ambulatory Pediatric Community Selective. She received her MD from St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada and completed her residency at Pennsylvania State University Children's Hospital. Dr. Silva is board certified in pediatrics.

Angela Attaway was born in Dallas, TX. She traveled a lot from an early age, because her father was in the military. She initially received her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Alvin Community College in 1998. She received her Bachelor's degree from UTMB in 2003. She graduated in 2007 from UTMB with her Master's Degree in Nursing specializing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Angela joined the Community Based Clinics in Alvin in September 2014. She has been an RN for the past 18 years. Her nursing experience includes Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU and Pediatric Oncology. Prior to joining the Community Based Clinics in Alvin, Angela was the Child Abuse Nurse Practitioner for Galveston County, and practiced as a primary care provider at Island Pediatrics.

Angela has been Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board since 2007. In 2011, Angela won a Good Samaritan Excellence in Nursing silver medal.

Angela enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves animals and regularly volunteers at the League City animal shelter. She has two rescue dogs of her own.
