Dr. Allen joined UTMB Health’s Department of Family Medicine in 2016 as a Resident in training. Dr. Allen served as Chief Resident in his final year of post graduate training and currently holds an Assistant Professor/Clinical Faculty position as a board certified Family Medicine Physician. Dr. Allen is also the departmental Director of Quality Management and has an outpatient clinic focusing on quality of life improvement and shares an academic inpatient teaching service.

Dr. Allen received a Bachelor of Science and graduated with honors as Summa Cum Laude from The University of Houston in Houston, Texas. He then earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas with the honors of Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Allen is skilled in managing and coordinating care for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions and has a special interest in sustained weight loss, mood disorders and pain management. Dr. Allen's academic and clinical interests include Medical Education, Preventative Evidence-Based Medicine, Weight Loss, Pain Management, Mood Disorders, Tobacco Cessation, Medical Policy and Community/National Involvement.

Dr. Peter Beshara joined UTMB Health Primary Care Clinic in Texas City July 2015. He is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Physicians and in Obesity Medicine by American Board of Obesity medicine. Dr. Beshara also earned his Master of Health Administration from LSUS. He grew up in Egypt where he received his Doctor of Medicine with honors from Ain Shams University Medical School and Master of Science in Ophthalmology Medicine. Dr. Beshara moved to the States and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He is also Co Medical Director of the UTMB Health Primary and Specialty Care Clinic in Texas City.

Dr. Beshara's interests include Prevention Medicine, Obesity medicine, Integrative medicine, and Adult and Geriatric medicine. He is very dedicated to patient education and empowerment and looks forward to developing life-long relationships with his patients.

Susan Easley, MD is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Family Practice. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Missouri State University graduating summa cum laude in the Honors College; and received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Dr. Easley completed two years of her Family Medicine residency at the University of Missouri, Columbia and finished her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland. Upon completion of her residency she practiced for 10 years with Maryland Primary Care Physicians until moving to Texas with her family in 2010.

Dr. Easley enjoys treating the entire family and being a part of the League City community. She enjoys sailing, is an avid reader, and teaches Jazzercise in her free time. Dr Easley is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Texas Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Herrera received her medical degree from St. George’s University and completed her family medicine residency at UTMB. She enjoys building lifelong relationships with her patients and educating them on all aspects of their health. She has a particular interest in women’s health and preventative medicine. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and also enjoys traveling.

Dr. Mathis is an Assistant Professor, Family Medicine in the UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine.

Dr. Mathis earned a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas. He completed training with the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugarland, Texas.

Dr. Mathis is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He also completed a fellowship with the UTMB Health Integrative and Behavioral Medicine Fellowship program and completed his advanced certification in clinical acupuncture.

Dr. McKee joined UTMB's Department of Family Medicine in 2003. She completed both medical school and her residency at UTMB. Dr. McKee is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and in Holistic Medicine by the American Board of Holistic Medicine. She is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. McKee's interests are in complementary and integrative medicine, medical student education, resident training, women's and children's health and maternity care.

Dr. Porterfield has lived all over the world, from Latin America to parts of Asia. Her areas of clinical and research interest include health equity, population health, clinical vaccinology, diabetes, international/immigrant health, women's health, and graduate medical education. Dr. Porterfield chose family medicine because she enjoys the challenge of caring for people across the full spectrum of life-stages and because she believes in the importance of caring—not just for individual patients—but also whole families and communities.

Dr. Porterfield is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, an investigator for the Sealy Institute for Vaccine Sciences, and the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in Family Medicine.

Dr. Porterfield joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2014 after completing her residency with the UTMB Health Family Medicine Residency Program with a concentration in behavioral medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Wheaton College, a Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, and a Master of Public Health from University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Dr. Angela Raimer joined UTMB Health in July 2013. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the Honors College at Baylor University in Waco, Texas and received her Doctorate of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine. Dr. Raimer completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine San Jacinto Family Medicine Program. She is currently board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Raimer’s interests include prevention and chronic health maintenance. Dr. Raimer grew up in the Clear Lake area and is happy to practice in an area she considers home. She currently lives on Galveston Island with her husband and three children.

Dr. A. Scott Rogers graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 1978. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Rogers has been in private practice in the Angleton community since 1985 before joining UTMB in 2015. He has been involved in both civic and business organizations serving as medical director, a local business leader and volunteer.

A resident of Angleton for 35 years, Dr. Rogers is married and has two sons. He looks forward to continue serving his existing and new patients in his new location.

Dr Lorena Salcedo was born in Bogota, Colombia. She completed part of her education in Montreal, Canada before moving to Dallas, Texas. She completed her undergraduate education with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas in Mathematics. Dr Salcedo obtained her MD from the UTMB School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas.

Dr Salcedo has a passion for International Medicine and Global Health. She has participated in Medical Missions in Kenya, Vietnam, Costa Rica and Guatemala. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French and enjoys serving a multicultural population. Her clinical interests include minor procedures, Women's Health, and preventive medicine.

In her free time, Dr Salcedo enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband who is also a physician and practices Neurological Surgery at UTMB. She is proud to be a member of the UTMB team and looks forward to making a difference in our community
