About Me

Dr. Hagedorn joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation in 2017 as an Assistant Professor in Trauma Surgery, Medical Director of Orthopaedic Trauma, and Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Doctor of Medicine from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, Morgantown, where he also completed an internship and residency training in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Hagedorn received further training in orthopaedic trauma during a fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston and an international fellowship in the Department of Trauma, University Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, A O Trauma, American Orthopaedic Association, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, Texas Orthopaedic Association, and Mid-America Orthopaedic Association.

Dr. Hagedorn is certified as a Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is licensed to practice medicine in Texas.
