Dr. Geary is a Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology. She received her BS. in Biology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, as well as her PhD in Physiology and MD. Her residency was completed at Children’s Hospital, University of Washington and she completed a fellowship in neonatology at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Cincinnati. Dr. Geary is interested in enhancing the humanism and compassion in medicine. She is the Director of the Physician Healer Track for medical students and Scholars in Healing for faculty.  She is also the Director of UTMB’s Perinatal Hospice and Palliative Care Program.
