Dr. Shah received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine, Stratford, New Jersey. After medical school Dr. Shah completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Following his residencies Dr. Shah completed his first fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He also completed a second fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Shah joined UTMB in June 2014 as an assistant Professor, interventional pulmonology, in the Department of Internal Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. His research interest include Interventional Pulmonology, rigid bronchoscopy, medical thoracoscopy, lung cancer, and pleural disease. Dr. Shah has published over 17 articles in peer reviewed journals and has presented 7 abstracts at national conferences.
