Dr. Parupudi is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. Dr. Parupudi earned his MBBS degree with honors, in 1986 from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, India. He did his Internal Medicine residency training and GI fellowship training at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarth, India. He was trained in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy from Universtaet Krankenhaus Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany under Prof. Nib Soehendra.
Dr. Parupudi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of American college of Physicians (FACP) and American College of Gastroenterology (FACG).
He is also a member of the American Medical Association, Southern Society for Clinical Investigation, Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India.
