About Me
Angelica S. Robinson, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist and Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). She completed a surgical internship, diagnostic radiology residency, and specialized breast imaging fellowship training through the Mayo Clinic, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio respectively.
Dr. Robinson specializes in advanced breast imaging including breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), MRI guided biopsies, and 3D mammography (tomosynthesis).
Dr. Robinson is a passionate educator who remains committed to providing exceptional learning opportunities for medical students and physicians in training. In her current role as Program Director for the UTMB Breast Imaging fellowship, she contributes to resident and fellow education while ensuring that a new generation of Breast Imaging radiologists will be prepared for the future of medicine. Additionally, she strives to maintain rigorous professional standards throughout the entire radiology department in her role as Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for the UTMB Department of Radiology.
Dr. Robinson serves as Director of the UTMB Breast Imaging section, and she is the current Chair of the Susan G. Komen Houston Medical Advisory Panel. Dr. Robinson is passionate about eliminating breast health disparities in underserved and minority communities, and she has been invited to lecture on a variety of breast health topics both locally and nationally. Dr. Robinson has received various awards including being named as a “Woman Creating Change” award recipient (Change Magazine), “Super Doctors® Rising Star” award recipient, and “Top Doc's” award recipient (Houstonia Magazine).
