About Me
Regina Marie Washington, PMHNP BC, FNP BC, is a compassionate, patient-centered clinician specializing in family medicine and psychiatric mental health care. She provides comprehensive care for adolescents through older adults, delivering treatment that blends strong medical expertise with a holistic understanding of each patient’s emotional and mental well-being. She is committed to creating a safe, respectful environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and supported.
Ms. Washington began her academic journey at The University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas, and continued her education at The University of Texas at Houston, Wilkes University in Pennsylvania, and Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. Her internship training included family medicine, psychiatric mental health, and women’s health—experiences that built a well-rounded foundation and continue to inform her clinical practice.
Board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Washington has been practicing since 2022 in family practice, mental health, and urgent care settings. She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Texas Border Nursing Association, the Brazoria County Nurse Practitioner Association, the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society (Delta Theta Chapter), and multiple university honor societies. She has also been recognized with a Certificate of Achievement in Excellent Communication Skills and proudly served as her nursing class representative in 2011.
Guided by the belief that true healing requires attention to the whole person, Ms. Washington emphasizes holistic, individualized care. She is known for her exceptional communication skills, active listening, and clinical excellence—qualities that help her build meaningful, trusting relationships with her patients. Her patients consistently express appreciation for her compassion, clarity, and her ability to support and guide them through every step of their health journey. She partners with each individual to develop evidence-based, personalized care plans that address their physical, emotional, and mental wellness.
A proud native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Ms. Washington has called the Angleton area home for more than a decade. She is also a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints and the Angleton Wildcats—Go Saints! Go Wildcats!
Outside of medicine, she enjoys attending Christian church events, cheering on her favorite sports teams, roller skating, and spending time with her beautiful family. She has been married for 22 years to her husband, a U.S. soldier, and together they are blessed with four wonderful children.
Ms. Washington is honored to care for the community she calls home and often reminds her patients: “Whatever the situation is—We’ll get through this together.”
