After earning her Bachelor's degree in nursing from Christian Medical College, Vellore, Jessey George worked as an RN in India for 4 years before moving to work at Bahrain Defense Force Hospital, Bahrain where she worked for 3 years. In an effort to find better work opportunities, in 2004 she moved to Houston. She was employed as an RN at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center for 10 years. During that time, Jessey completed a master's degree at Texas Woman's University in 2013 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She began employment at UTMB in 2015. After practicing in primary care, she moved to UTMB's Community Based Clinic's endocrinology department to fulfill her passion to manage diabetes. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from the University of Alabama with a focus on diabetes management research. Jessey plans to graduate in May 2021.
In her current position, she works alongside an experienced endocrinologist, Dr. Arian Mohammed, and manages patients with diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, and various other endocrine conditions. Jessey's goal is to provide compassionate, quality evidence-based care and education tailored to benefit her patients.
In her spare time, she is a busy Mom to her 13-year-old son and is involved in his activities. She enjoys biking, tennis, cooking, and gardening.
