  • June Yowtak-Guillet, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. She has been with UTMB since 2018.

    From 2002-2010, Dr. Yowtak-Guillet studied at UTMB to earn her MD degree and PhD degree in Neuroscience. She then completed her neurosurgery residency at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia from 2010-2017. Dr. Yowtak-Guillet went on to a fellowship in epilepsy and functional neurosurgery at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut from 2017-2018.

    As a graduate/doctoral student, Dr. Yowtak-Guillet worked in several laboratories to assist in neurological research and was very active in regional and national committee responsibilities for medical organizations. She also won several awards for her excellence in academics and teaching. Her specialties include epilepsy, Parkinson's, essential tremor, dystonia, and pain.
