About Me
Dr. Allen attended the University of Kansas for undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in human biology in 2010. She then went on to attend graduate school at Boston University School of Medicine where she graduated with a Master of Arts in medical science and published her thesis investigating the relationship between chronic traumatic encephalopathy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Dr. Allen returned to Kansas in 2015 to complete her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Subsequently, she relocated to Texas and the University of Texas Medical Branch for the integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency from 2019-2025. While a resident, Dr. Allen was passionate about resident education, training, and mentorship, so she was thrilled to be offered a position to join as a faculty plastic surgeon and continue these passions. Her clinical practice at UTMB will consist of a majority time at Shriners Children’s Texas treating children as well as time at UTMB treating adults. She offers both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures of the head and neck, breasts, and body for all ages.
