  • Dr. Santhisri Kodali is a native of Texas, growing up in Austin with a passion for science that led to her receiving the 2nd place Grand Award in Gerontology at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. She then went on to complete her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with honors. During her undergraduate studies, she became drawn to the field of cardiac electrophysiology due to its cerebral and challenging nature.

She subsequently obtained her MD degree from the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She then completed her internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship at the Houston Methodist Hospital. Following this, she completed her clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As a cardiac electrophysiologist, she performs cardiac device implantation procedures and catheter ablation of arrhythmias including supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia. She enjoys clinical practice and is actively involved in clinical research, with a special interest in ventricular tachycardia. Apart from spending time with her family, her interests include tennis and chess.

  • Why do some providers have no ratings?
At UTMB, a provider's ratings are only posted when she/he has a minimum of 30 completed surveys within the past twelve months. New-to-UTMB providers or individuals in less common areas of practice may be temporarily under this threshold. We set this baseline to ensure we offer the most accurate reflection of each Individual.

    Why No Ratings?
  • Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain (including new onset low back pain), joint pain, extreme fatigue, diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, headache or conjunctivitis (red eye with discharge)?

Please do not proceed with scheduling this appointment, instead call us at (800) 917-8906
so we can personalize your care.

A subspecialty of cardiology, electrophysiology focuses on the study and treatment of the electrical activity of your heart to identify abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias). Some treatments for arrythmias include implanting pacemakers and cardioverter-defibrillators.

If you have not been diagnosed with an abnormal or irregular heart rhythm, please make an appointment with our general cardiologists, and, if needed, they can refer you for the appropriate specialized treatment.
