About Me

Uzoma Stanley Dike, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized fellowship training in sports medicine. He cares for patients of all ages and has clinical interests in sports medicine, musculoskeletal injuries, injury prevention, and the non-operative management of sports- and activity-related conditions.

Dr. Dike believes that effective care begins with listening. He works to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their health. By taking the time to understand each patient’s concerns, lifestyle, and goals, he develops practical treatment plans that support their overall well-being and fit into their daily lives.

His background in family medicine provides a broad foundation for treating the whole patient, while his sports medicine training gives him additional expertise in evaluating and managing injuries and other musculoskeletal concerns. This combined perspective allows him to care for athletes and active individuals at every level, as well as patients who simply want to move more comfortably and confidently. He emphasizes clear communication, shared decision-making, and honest guidance so that patients can take an active role in working toward their health and activity goals.

Dr. Dike earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados. He completed his family medicine internship and residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) in Galveston, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.

During his residency, Dr. Dike received the Alice Anne O’Donnell, MD Award for Interprofessional Collaboration. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians. He is board certified in family medicine, with his sports medicine board certification pending.

A resident of Texas City, Dr. Dike enjoys playing basketball, working out, hiking, listening to music, and playing video games. He is married and values the opportunity to live in and serve the community.
