King Ampofo, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients across all stages of life, from children to older adults. Dr. Ampofo is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their best health through prevention, chronic disease management, and practical lifestyle interventions that support long-term wellness.

A diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Ampofo completed both his family medicine residency and internship at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) in Galveston, Texas. During his training, he gained extensive experience caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions while developing expertise in preventive care, obesity and weight management, and outpatient procedures, including skin procedures, joint injections, toenail removals, and women's health services.

Dr. Ampofo earned his undergraduate degree from York College of the City University of New York in Queens, New York, before attending Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His approach to patient care reflects a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine combined with a commitment to clear communication, patient education, and shared decision-making. Known for his whole-person approach, Dr. Ampofo focuses on understanding each patient's unique goals, challenges, and circumstances. He partners with patients to develop realistic, personalized care plans that emphasize prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and sustainable health improvements. Fluent in both English and Akan (Twi), Dr. Ampofo is proud to serve a diverse patient population and strives to make high-quality medical care accessible and approachable for every patient he sees.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ampofo enjoys brewing kombucha, playing soccer, and taking road trips with his family. He and his family live in the Gulf Coast region and enjoy exploring new destinations together.
