Dr. Carpio-Solis was born and raised in New York. Her parents immigrated to the US as children from Puerto Rico and Peru. She was raised bilingual. After completing college and medical school in New York she attended residency in Baltimore Maryland. She has been a practicing OB/GYN since 2005 and is board certified. In 2007 she moved to Texas and has been in love with the state ever since. She is married and has 3 lovely children, Ryan, Sophya and Benji. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, movies, reading books and is a gym enthusiast.

Monica E. Hernandez RN, FNP-BC is a graduate of University of Texas Pan American. She has advanced training from the UTPA Nurse Practitioner program and is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her clinical interests include women's health.

Caitlyn McDonald, FNP-C has been a nurse practitioner in women's healthcare since 2019, with experience in Breast Health and Obstetrics/Gynecology. She completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2010 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She began working in Labor and Delivery and the Ob/Gyn clinic as a registered nurse in 2010.

After 8 years of working as a registered nurse, she decided to further her career by completing a Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2018 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She has a true passion for women's healthcare.

Dr. Adum grew up in Nigeria, West Africa, where she attended medical school. After completing her medical education, she moved to England in 2003 for postgraduate studies in medicine and specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She moved to the United States in 2009 and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2013 at St Peters/Drexel University Hospital in New Jersey. After residency she moved to Williston, North Dakota, where she practiced for over 5 years providing obstetrics and gynecology services to the women in this underserved area.

Being a new mother with a strong desire to be closer to her family during the formative years of her daughter, she moved to Texas.

Dr. Adum is excited about joining the Angleton Women Healthcare team as she finds this a continuation of her catering to the needs of a community that provides her great opportunities to impact positively in the lives of women and their families. She truly enjoys all aspects of her profession and appreciates the trust that is given to her by her patients to take care their health concerns; be it a well women visit, caring for low or high pregnancies and delivering babies or providing both non-surgical or surgical procedures for gynecological problems or just lending an empathic ear to her patients at those times it is so much needed in this profession. The diverse and challenging profession keeps her driven, grounded and committed to providing the best care possible.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, eating good food (a foodie), reading, watching great plays/shows, hiking and traveling.

Ricshonda “Nickie” Milburn has been a registered nurse for 15 plus years. Her focus in the last 6 years has been as a Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Texas Medical Branch. She has also worked as a part-time adjunct clinical instructor for the UTMB School of Nursing.

Nickie is passionate about nursing as a profession and a strong patient advocate, always working to improve patient care and outcomes. She is also supports a healthy work environment while promoting and supporting advanced education for her team.

Nickie was born and raised here on the island, she attended Galveston public schools and graduated from Ball High School in 1995. She went to college at SHSU for two years, then to Galveston College, where she received an Associate's Degree in Pre-Physician Studies in 2001 and an Associate's Degree in Nursing in 2003. She then began working as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2011 from University of Texas at Arlington and her Master's Degree in Women's Healthcare from University of Cincinnati in 2014. She recently received a Doctor of Nursing of Practice degree from Grand Canyon University in February 2020. Nickie is currently pursuing a certification if Registered Nurse First Assist with NIFA with an expected completion of August 2020.

In addition to her professional work and educational endeavors, Nickie enjoys spending time with her family as a wife and mother of four children. She loves attending their sporting events and traveling as much as possible.

Dr. Karing is a native Texan, growing up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area before moving to Arkansas to obtain her undergraduate degree. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in biology in 2015. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2019 and completed her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2023.

She is very excited to be re-joining the University of Texas Medical Branch community and currently practicing at the Clear Lake location. She is committed to addressing all aspects of women's health with special interests in adolescent health, family planning, gynecologic surgery and high risk obstetrics.

Outside of work, Dr. Karing enjoys trying new restaurants, running, hiking, traveling, going to concerts, or reading a good book. She is the proud parent of one fur baby.

Dr. Gabriela Halder is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Halder obtained her bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Health from the University of Miami. She then completed residency at the University of South Florida and fellowship at the University of Texas Austin.

Dr. Halder specializes in female pelvic floor disorders including conservative and surgical approaches to pelvic organ prolapse, urinary/fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, urethral masses, voiding dysfunction/neurogenic bladder, mesh complications, and painful bladder syndrome. She is skilled in minimally invasive procedures and robotic-assisted surgery.

Dr. Halder’s primary research interests surround patient reported outcomes, perioperative education, and health economics. She has published several articles, book chapters, and presented her work at numerous national meetings. She is an active member of several national and international organizations including the American Urogynecologic Society and the International Urogynecological Association.

During her spare time, Dr. Halder enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the greater Houston area.
