Ruth Levine, MD

Dr. Levine was born in New York but graduated high school from Galveston's own Ball High. Dr. Levine attended medical school at the University of Texas in Austin, completed an internship in Internal Medicine at UTMB, and then went to Boston University for her residency in Psychiatry. After completing her residency, she came back to UTMB in 1991 as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and has since served in numerous educational roles. She has been Clerkship Director for Psychiatry from 1995 to 2013, when she accepted the position as Assistant Dean for Educational Affairs. In that capacity, she has oversight of the clinical education of medical students at UTMB.
