Gabriel Reep, MD

Dr. Gabriel L. Reep is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. He received a B.A. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, TX in 2004 and an M.D. degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 2006. During his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch, he was awarded Outstanding Intern Performance in Clinic and as well as outstanding 3rd Year Resident Performance in Clinic. He also was inducted into the Dame Cicely Saunders Society for exemplary care in palliative medicine. He served on the UTMB Quality of Care Committee as a House Staff representative during his 3rd year of residency and continues to have an active interest in quality improvement.

Most recently he worked on the UTMB internal medicine clinic Pneumovax quality improvement project. Currently he is working as a Hospitalist treating acute medical problems that require inpatient care. This allows him to maintain a very close relationship with the UTMB medical school and residency program, as well as to participate in the education and training of future physicians.
