Madiha Khan, MD

Dr. Madiha Ahmed Khan is a compassionate and experienced family medicine physician who has been serving patients in Galveston County since 2012. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across all stages of life—from newborns to seniors, with a special focus on adolescent and adult medicine.

Dr. Khan earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, and completed her medical education at Ziauddin Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan, where she graduated with a Gold Medal. She pursued her internship and residency in Family Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas, where she served as Chief Resident from 2014 to 2015.

Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive medicine, obesity and metabolic syndrome care, and health systems innovation. She is passionate about quality improvement and has held several leadership roles at UTMB, including Medical Director of the Island West Clinic and Director of Quality Improvement for the Department of Family Medicine.

Dr. Khan emphasizes building long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She listens actively, respects individual preferences, and engages in shared decision-making to create personalized treatment plans. Her practice stands out for its holistic approach—addressing physical, emotional, and social health—and for managing acute issues without unnecessary referrals.

Patients value Dr. Khan’s dedication to preventive care, her support for lifestyle changes, and her ability to tailor care to their unique needs. She is fluent in English and understands Hindi and Urdu, which helps her connect with a diverse patient population.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Khan lives in League City and enjoys traveling, reading, solving puzzles, and hiking.
