About Me
Dr. Sharifi is an ophthalmologist with specific focus on Cornea and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Sharifi earned his medical degree and residency at University of Texas Medical Branch. He then went to Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University for his Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship. He was selected as intern of the year, resident of the year, and finally received Wilmer Fellow teaching award during his educational career.
Dr. Sharifi’s clinical areas of interest are endothelial keratoplasty, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and advanced dry eye management. His research interests include corneal endothelial cell therapy and corneal gene therapy.
He is member of American Academy of Ophthalmology, Cornea Society, and American Society for Microbiology.
