Gwenn Scott, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, CNS

Dr. Gwenn Scott DNP, FNP-BC has her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where she started her education as a registered nurse graduating from the Baptist School of Nursing. She furthered her career in San Antonio graduating with her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Incarnate Word, her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Scott has worked in family practice, academia, and urgent cares throughout the San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Austin areas before coming to Galveston and joined UTMB School of Nursing as a family nurse practitioner assistant professor. She now works fulltime at the UTMB Galveston urgent care and precepts many students from UTMB nurse practitioner program and other nurse practitioner programs. Dr. Scott also holds an Assistant Clinical Professor title with the UTMB School of Medicine. In her free time, she likes to travel especially on cruise ships and she runs a bed and breakfast out of her home in Galveston.
