Paymon Mosavi, MD

Paymon B. Mosavi, MD is a board certified psychiatrist specializing in adult mental health care. He attended Texas A&M University, receiving a degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2015. He received his medical doctorate from UTMB in 2019. He went on to complete his psychiatry residency at UTMB, serving as assistant chief and receiving an award for clinical excellence during his training. He joined the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences faculty in 2023. Dr. Mosavi divides his time between clinical care, supervising residents and teaching medical students. He has clinical interests in young adult mental health, reproductive psychiatry and treatment resistant depression.
