About Me

Dr. Amanda Song is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Song was born and raised in Houston, Tx. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, graduating with high honors from UT Austin and earned her doctorate in medicine from Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine. Dr. Song joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2018 as a resident physician in training at the Family Medicine Clinic - Island East and stayed on with UTMB in 2021 as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine. Her clinical areas of interest include preventative care, weight management, women’s health, sports medicine, and procedures. Dr. Song is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). She’s looking forward to providing greater access to care through urgent care.

Dr. Song enjoys spending her free time with her husband and son. They enjoy cooking, baking, and traveling together.
