Lorena Salcedo, MD

Dr Lorena Salcedo was born in Bogota, Colombia. She completed part of her education in Montreal, Canada before moving to Dallas, Texas. She completed her undergraduate education with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas in Mathematics. Dr Salcedo obtained her MD from the UTMB School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas.

Dr Salcedo has a passion for International Medicine and Global Health. She has participated in Medical Missions in Kenya, Vietnam, Costa Rica and Guatemala. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French and enjoys serving a multicultural population. Her clinical interests include minor procedures, Women's Health, and preventive medicine.

In her free time, Dr Salcedo enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband who is also a physician and practices Neurological Surgery at UTMB. She is proud to be a member of the UTMB team and looks forward to making a difference in our community
