About Me
Dr. Castillo attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX where he obtained a B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry. He then attended McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston where he found his love for orthopedic surgery. He then completed a residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he was able to get a robust clinical and surgical experience which ultimately led to him staying at UTMB and pursuing a foot and ankle fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Vinod Panchbhavi and Dr. Jie Chen.
