Sayyeda Hasan, MD

Dr. Hasan joined the UTMB faculty as an Assistant Professor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2023. Dr. Hasan attended Texas Lutheran University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. She attended medical school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and graduated in 2013. Dr. Hasan completed her General Psychiatry Residency from University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler in 2021 and attended her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UTMB, graduating in 2023. She joined the faculty for the Department of Psychiatry at UTMB upon completion of fellowship. Dr. Hasan provides care to a variety of patients in her outpatient clinic and has a special interest in improving mental health care access to patients in underserved areas. As such, Dr Hasan also provides school based telepsychiatry services to patients in underserved areas of Texas.
