Alexa Coon, DO, FAAP

Dr. Coon specializes in developmental-behavioral pediatrics and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. Dr. Coon received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine- Bradenton in Bradenton, Florida. She completed her general pediatric residency training at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, OH, where she also completed her fellowship specialty training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.

Dr. Coon enjoys helping her patients and their families. She also enjoys teaching medical students and residents about her specialty.

Dr. Coon is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Society for Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, and a member of the Academic Pediatric Association. She is board certified in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is board eligible for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
