About Me
Dr. Leah Sharon Turnil is a board-certified family medicine physician who is passionate about preventing and treating chronic disease through evidence-based lifestyle interventions. She takes a holistic approach to care, integrating physical, emotional, and social wellness to help patients live fully and well.
Dr. Turnil welcomes patients of all ages and is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population. Her patients value the assurance that they’ve been truly heard and appreciate her dedication to being a trusted advocate for their health.
Originally from New York, Dr. Turnil earned her undergraduate degree from SUNY Stony Brook before completing her medical education at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten. She went on to complete both her internship and residency in Family Medicine at UTMB, where she was honored with the Jean Thompson Award for Compassionate Resident and inducted into the Alpha Omega Phi Honor and Service Society.
Dr. Turnil lives in Webster, Texas, and enjoys exploring languages, music, cooking, and history in her free time.
