Destanee Hamilton, PA-C

Destanee Hamilton is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a strong foundation in primary care and a current specialization in gastroenterology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.

As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, Destanee began her career in community health, providing comprehensive primary care to underserved populations. In 2024, she joined the Division of Gastroenterology at UTMB, where she continues her commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Destanee is passionate about empowering patients through education and collaboration. She values working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality gastroenterological care. Her clinical interests include preventative gastroenterological care, chronic disease management, and advancing health equity.
