About Me
Dr. Parvathaneni is the Chairman for the Department of Radiation Oncology, Residency Program Director, and holds the John Sealy Distinguished Centennial Chair in Radiation Therapy. He received his medical degree with honors from Annamalai University in India and completed advanced training in Radiation Oncology across New Zealand, and Australia, after completing residencies in Surgery (India) and Internal Medicine and specialties (New Zealand). He then completed a clinical fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center while earning a Teaching Scholar Certification in Medical Education & Biomedical Informatics from the University of Washington. Dr. Parvathaneni held academic and clinical leadership roles at the University of Washington for over 18 years, including Professor of Radiation Oncology and Director of Head and Neck program and Director of Heavy Ion (Neutron) treatment facility. His unique skillset is the ability to treat with all the available radiation modalities. He brings over 30 years of international experience in patient care, leadership, cancer treatment, research and education.
