Felix Maldonado Chapa, MD

Dr. Maldonado is an otolaryngologist with advanced expertise in both head and neck oncologic surgery with microvascular reconstruction and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

He earned his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, where he also completed his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery.

Following his residency, Dr. Maldonado pursued a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in Europe, accredited by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He then completed a Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction Fellowship at the Karmanos Cancer Institute/Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Maldonado is among a select group of surgeons in the United States with dual fellowship training in both head and neck oncologic surgery and facial plastic surgery.

His clinical focus includes:

• Surgical Management and Follow-Up of Head and Neck Cancers including oral cavity, laryngeal, skin, and salivary glands.
• Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery.
• Facial and Head and Neck Reconstruction after cancer surgery or trauma.
• Aesthetic and Functional Rhinoplasty.
• Blepharoplasty (aesthetic surgery of the eyelid).

Outside of patient care, Dr. Maldonado enjoys playing and watching soccer and spending time outdoors with his family.
