Amit Jain, MD, MBA, FAAP

Dr. Amit Jain is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at UTMB. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Jain earned his Doctor of Medicine from Albany Medical College and holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Union Graduate College. He completed both his pediatric internship and residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas, where he was recognized on the Resident Teaching Honor Roll and received the Top Professionalism Award.

With a career dedicated to serving diverse and underserved populations, Dr. Jain previously practiced at Neighborhood Health in Nashville and served on the quality team at Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) in Phoenix. His clinical interests include patient safety, quality improvement, and community health education.

Dr. Jain is a prolific advocate for pediatric wellness, having authored numerous guides on topics ranging from vaccine safety and sleep hygiene to pool safety and diabetes awareness. His research has addressed critical areas such as pediatric cardiology and clinic patient flow. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Jain is an Eagle Scout and has volunteered extensively in developing educational resources for youth communities.
