Dr. Romman is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School. He then did residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He went on to complete further training obtaining his Pain Medicine Fellowship at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. After completing fellowship, he returned to UTMB where he is an Assistant Professor practicing in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He has published research in several major pain medicine journals and currently serves on the editorial board of the research journal Pain Physician.
Dr. Romman specializes in the treatment of chronic pain conditions. He believes in a multimodal approach to pain that includes interventional procedures, opioid-sparing medications, physical therapy, cognitive aspects, and health maintenance.
