About Me
Dr. Glover is a native of northeast Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Texas in Austin, TX. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He completed his internship at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and his residency training at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Following his fellowship training at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI, he later pursued an additional Master of Business Administration degree at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.
He served on Active Duty in the United States Air Force for over 12 years and then transitioned into private practice to Jackson, TN and then moved to Flagstaff, AZ to join Northern Arizona Orthopaedics. During his 16 years in Arizona, he assumed many leadership roles at Flagstaff Medical Center to include Chairman of the Department of Surgery and also of the Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurosurgery Division. He served on many hospital committees to include pharmacy and therapeutics, credentialing and medical executive. He had the honor and privilege of serving as the medical staff president for 2016. Prior to joining UTMB in 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, he also had the unique experience of working on the insurance side of healthcare as a medical director which provided valuable insights into this aspect of care delivery.
He has been a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon since 1996 and is licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Tennessee and Texas. He has been a Fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Member of the North American Spine Society since 1998. He is also a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership. His areas of clinical interest include spinal degenerative diseases and deformity as well as spinal trauma and infection. He has clinical expertise in adult spinal reconstructive surgery using various open and minimally invasive techniques as well as total disc arthroplasty.
